Looking for a bold New Year’s resolution that’s actually easy to keep? Then join Democrats Abroad UK on January 15 and resolve to get out the vote in 2020!

All US citizens living abroad are eligible to vote in the 2020 election, but voting from abroad can be confusing if you’ve never done it before. Even among those who have, many don’t realize that we need to request a ballot every calendar year that we want to vote. At this fun, dynamic and informative event, we’ll walk you through how to register to vote and request your absentee ballot on the spot (spoiler alert: it’s easy).

We’ll also discuss the impact of the expat vote and what DAUK is doing to ensure US voters living abroad can have their say in 2020. As we’ve seen time and again, including in the recent governor’s races in Kentucky and Louisiana, many elections are decided by the slimmest of margins and every Democratic vote counts.

You will learn more about the Democrats Abroad Global Presidential Primary on Super Tuesday in March, when you'll be able to vote for the presidential candidate of your choice, at one of the voting centers in the UK, electronically, or via post. You'll be helping to determine which candidates DA delegates represent at the Democratic National Convention!

You’ll also have the chance to mingle with like-minded Democrats over light refreshments and learn about the many different ways you can get involved in DAUK. Like all DAUK events, this meeting is open to all US citizens, so grab a couple friends, register for a free ticket today, and commit to making the new year a “blue” year!

Tickets are free and will be available at the door, but we encourage you to register in advance so we know how many people to expect. Donations are welcome to offset event costs and support DAUK’s efforts in 2020.
